TrisAlker Innovation Foundation was founded by Trisha Walker. When she was in high school, people would ask her, "what do you want to be when you grow up?", she would describe herself as an accountant. So she pursued her master's degree in accounting, and she began her tax and accounting business. But she felt there was something lacking. She opted to become a foster parent because she is a people person who has prioritized helping others for the most of her life. She and her husband fostered 12 children, before deciding to adopt four gorgeous babies. Her children were two, three, three, and four years old at the time of adoption. She wanted to be able to assist and understand her children better, so she changed her career from an accountant to a behavioral therapist and earned her master's degree in psychology. She also volunteered at Agape Minister for recovering addicts and women who have been abused. She would offer an encouraging speech to these people in order to alleviate their fears and increase their self-esteem. Her involvement inspired her to establish the TrisAlker Innovation Foundation. She is eager to get more active in the communities and bring smiles to the faces of others, as she has done for four babies.
